All good things must come to an end. This fall, this website will no longer be available. Volunteering at Woodmere since November 2003 and helping countless family researchers in their quest for ancestral information, the time has come to move on. Life changes which means prioritizing one's time and what it takes to fill it. I still make my yearly trek to Salt Lake City to do family research. Genealogy is still my number one hobby so you may see me wandering the grounds at Woodmere. If you do, please stop and say hello.
We had one last tour June 27. What looked like what was going to be a rainy day, turned out to be otherwise. However, it was quite hot but 15 of us toured the grounds and enjoyed sharing stories of those who were instrumental in Detroit's formative years. There are still a few copies of my books left, so if you are interested in them, please contact me through my email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am also suspending speaking engagements (except for what is listed) and tours for private organizations. The information that took four-and-a-half years to create a database will still be available to me so you can still contact me but only through my email address. It is with a tearful farewell that this comes to an end. I wish you continued success in your family research and am so grateful I have been able to help countless folks find answers to those family mysteries. Thank you for your kind words you have shared. My heart overflows for your gratitude, knowing that the time involved in this effort has been appreciated.
